Desi’s Origin Story
Before Desi Tax, I had a smorgasbord of jobs. I worked at Starbucks, then at a chiropractor’s office, and then I was introduced to the tax world.
I had no background in taxes but I was fascinated! So, I began studying the tax code during my free time to pass the required tests to become a tax professional, and, spoiler alert– I passed them!
I spent multiple attempts trying to work for a reputable tax firm, wasting hours and dollars I’ll never get back.
Then I realized I could work for myself, helping others without the confines of the corporate world: Desi Tax was born.
And many mistakes were made…
I grew too big, too fast and had to restructure my company to make it easier for myself and give clients a better experience.
It felt like I learned what not to do more than I learned what to do.
And then I figured it out. I spent years with trial and error, growing, building…
I added bookkeeping to my suite…
I helped businesses save thousands on their taxes, making them repeat customers…
I helped businesses scale their profit with accurate bookkeeping…
And doubled my business size, hired a team, and formed my second business.
Because I finally found what worked.
